Explore mathematical problems and the connections between them. Select a problem to read its question, precise scope, and recorded progress.
We collect problem statements, sources and progress records from the Erdős problems catalog, Math Stack Exchange and Smale’s problem list. A reported result is not a solved problem until the recorded review supports closing it.
Dots are problems; squares are shared methods. Select one to see its recorded connections. A generalization includes another problem as a special case; a reduction is a way to transfer a solution; an “involves” link names a shared method. Nearby dots are not necessarily related.
The plain-language guides are introductions, not proofs. Expand “The precise statement” for the exact scope, assumptions and success criteria. We link sources beside the relevant records.
